From the producers of In the Studio, comes The Echo Lounge, a one hour show that celebrates artists and art. Each show features one author, actor or musician and consists of an interview that explores not only the featured guest’s life and work, but also those works that influenced him or her.
We can’t name names yet, but we have an amazing line up of artists scheduled to appear on the show. Pulitzer Prize winning authors, Grammy Award winning musicians, and Oscar and Emmy Award winning actors will be featured, but The Echo Lounge isn’t about award winning artists, but exploration of the creative process and the celebration of artists and art.
The Interludes Cafe features artists you may not be familair with, but each is doing work that is so incredibly exciting that we wanted to create a place for them. Each month, different musicians and visual artists will have a space to showcase their work.
There is a discussion board with a limited number of forums because we want a place where artists, regardless of medium, can gather and discuss their creative process and art in general. There is a special area for teachers to exchange ideas and lesson plans, but anyone is free to join in and discuss ideas about teaching of Literature, music and art.
The Echo Lounge will premiere on TheEchoLounge.com in the summer 2008 and syndicated on non-commercial radio stations in the United States.
